昔から岐阜県郡上八幡付近で飼育されてきた地鶏。地鶏は古墳時代から各地で飼われていたと考えられていますが、羽色などから岐阜地鶏がモデルとされています。地元では郡上地鶏と呼ばれます。

Old jidori which have been raised in the Gujo Hachiman. It is thought that the Jidori were bred in the tumulus period, and because of the color of the feathers, It is believed that was the Gifu-jidori-like bird. Called Gunjo-jidori in the local areas.
