江戸時代に軍鶏と小国を掛け合わせて作られたとされる闘鶏用の品種。脚に剣をつけて闘わせたため、剣付鶏とも呼ばれています。現在は観賞用と食用のための親鶏として飼育されています。

They were induced by crossing the Shamo and the Shokoku for cockfighting in Edo period. Sometimes blades were attached to their feet so they are also called Kentsukedori (chicken with sword). Now, they are bred as an ornamental bird and also for their meat.
