ケリーヒル

この種の起源はウェールズのケリー村という小さな村で、最初の記録は1809年のことである。羊毛と足は白いが、耳、鼻、目の周り、ひざと足先は黒というユニークな姿をしている。大きさは中型で、メスの体重は平均55-65 kgでオスはこれよりやや大きい。現在では、イギリス、オランダ、ドイツで飼育されている。

Kerry Hill Sheep

This breed was developed in the Welsh border counties around the small village Kerry and first records date back to 1809. They have unique coloration: white fleece, face and legs with black ears, nose, eye patches, knees and feet. It is a medium-sized breed. An average ewe weighs 55-65 kg and a ram a little more. Today the breed is distributed in Britain, Netherlands and Germany.
